If you want to make the best impact in dealing with a debt lawsuit or a debt collector, I’m here to tell you you’re in the right place. Most people don’t think they need a lawyer to represent them, but if you’ve been contacted by a debt collector or a debt collection lawyer, you absolutely will benefit from my help.

I’m James Foley, PLLC, and I serve the greater Fort Worth metroplex, including White Settlement, Benbrook, and Crowley in their debt defense needs. There are good and great lawyers on both sides of any debt resolution case, and what separates good from great is experience and care. When I’m working with you on your Ft. Worth/Aledo/Weatherford legal debt defense, you’ll have my full effort and knowledge in your corner.

Legal defense for debt, identity theft debt, and bankruptcy is affordable when I’m on your side, so call me and let’s get to work today, whether you’re North of downtown, toward Arlington, over by Weatherford, or as far south as Cleburne.

When to hire a debt consolidation company, and when not to! | Ft. Worth’s James Foley PLLC

Did you know that debt consolidation and defense aren’t the same?

While debt consolidators have had some success for DFW clients, I’ve known many clients that were equally or more unsatisfied. But above all, consolidation companies require large payments upfront with little or no guarantees for success, and usually without legal experience.

Most of all, no bank, debt lawyer, or debt collector has any requirement to work with a debt consolidator! You could be paying thousands upfront and only dig yourself into a deeper financial hole. So if you’ve been sued by Midland Credit Management, Discover Card, or Cavalry Portfolio Associates, call me James Foley PLLC, and I’ll represent you in court if necessary.

Tarrant, Parker, and Johnson County Debt Defense by James Foley, PLLC

When you speak with your debt collector, or you look at their website, you’ll find there’s one option: PAY. This goes for Portfolio Recovery, Unifund, Michael Moss, Bank of Texas, and more. But I’m here to tell you that’s not your only option! You have three choices, typically, and I’ll use my best judgement and experience to help you choose.

If you can pay, we can SETTLE for a better amount that doesn’t include exorbitant fees. If you can’t pay, I’ll consult you for a BANKRUPTCY path forward, which is not as scary as they try to make it seem! And if the debt is the result of ID theft or a credit reporting error, we can FIGHT and try to WIN you damages you’re owed.

I highly recommend checking your credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com. If you notice problems there, call me at once. While you can do your best to settle without my help, winning a case and getting owed damages is nearly impossible without legal help like mine.

Call me at 817-738-1633, and I’ll consult you for free on which of the following you may be looking at:

DEBT SETTLEMENT: I’ll put together a payment schedule that you think you can afford, and will fight on your behalf to make sure added fees aren’t unnecessarily tacked onto loans or credit cards that you might be behind on.

FINANCIAL RECOVERY: Bankruptcy in Aledo, White Settlement, Fort Worth, or Benbrook has helped numerous people! I’ve seen many friends and neighbors who are much better off with a blank slate, and are able to recover faster than if they had continued trying to catch up. More importantly, you may be able to retain your home and car during bankruptcy if your income allows for it.

TRIAL ON MERITS: Depending on which level of court we are in the law may be your best friend. 3rd party creditors may not be able to authenticate the legitimate banks documents. They may not be able to prove that your account was one of the giant bundle that was sold. Even original creditors sometimes fail to disclose witnesses or follow other procedural technicalities that they are required to  win.

IDENTITY THEFT OR ERROR: The party taking action against you has the “burden of proof,” so if you think an error has been made in your lawsuit, and you’ve contacted me rapidly, you will have every chance for true protection. If I’m on your side too, a stolen identity or computer error can mean you winning monetary damages.
